Greetings and welcome to the official website of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.®, Upsilon Omega Omega Chapter. It is with great pride that I serve as President, leading a remarkable group of over 160 devoted members to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® Our chapter comprises dynamic women dedicated to addressing the needs of Irmo, SC, Lexington County, and the Midlands communities through impactful programs centered around education, women’s health, family well-being, and global community service.
For more than twenty-five (25) years, we have been deeply embedded in serving the Irmo-Lexington County and Midlands area, dedicating countless hours to various service endeavors. Our legacy includes granting scholarships to deserving students and organizing influential events such as our distinguished programs like the Emeralds of Excellence Scholarship Program and Debutante Cotillion, Upsilon Omega Omega Chapter Scholarships, and the Ivies and Pearls Scholarship Luncheon. Through these initiatives, we've proudly awarded over $500,000 in scholarships to college-bound students. Additionally, we've co-chaired significant projects like the Midlands Cinderella Project and participated in numerous service projects throughout the community.
As members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® we are unwavering in our commitment to making a positive impact locally, nationally, and internationally by implementing service programs that uplift social, economic, and educational welfare. Under the guidance of our International President, Danette Anthony Reed, and the 2022-2026 International Program theme, "Soaring to Greater Heights of Service & Sisterhood," we embark on our next phase of service.
